Jared Watson has loved music and singing for as long as he can remember. It’s his favorite escape and his greatest comfort at the same time, and he spends quite a considerable amount pf time practicing singing in his room back home.
But his biggest joy is when he has an opportunity to share his passion and talent with others who appreciate quality, heartfelt music as well. Such an opportunity arose when Jared was invited to perform for a talent show.
You see, the teen has spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic disease that makes it impossible for him to have any control over his muscle’s moving. Jared uses a special wheelchair to get around, which means he needed a bit of help carrying his performance through. So his dad accompanied him on stage and played the guitar, and together they delivered a stunning rendition of Randy Travis’ “I Told You So.”
Although he is only sixteen years old, the boy has an unbelievable voice which he controls beautifully. That being said, you may want to grab a box of tissues before watching this, because this performance is bound to bring you to tears.
