73-year-old blind and deaf elephant is finally rescued, cries real tears when she’s free

The video below tells the heartbreaking story of Sook Jai, an elephant that spent pretty much her entire life in captivity – and it will definitely put tears in your eyes.
As most captive elephants, Sook Jai worked many different jobs over the course of her life. From begging to trekking tourists, the elephant was used in various ways. Some were more arduous than others, but they all were an affront to her dignity.
Her life passed through the hands of a number of different men. She moved from one job to another and constantly moved to a new place. All of her life, she worked relentlessly until she could no longer pick herself of the ground.
At 73-years-old Sook Jai had finally come to the end of her strengths.
All animals deserve better than this. They deserve to be treated with compassion and respect, not as if they were things who have no feelings and no judgment.
Although she has lived a life of hardship, towards the end of her life, the elephant had the fortune to be found by a caring soul who wanted to help to change her life and free her from cruelty for as many years as she has left.
Sook Jai was taken to an animal sanctuary. There, she could experience being free for the first time in her life. The elephant’s reaction was incredible!
As you can see in the video below, Sook Jai reached up her trunk to smell her new home, and began sending low rumbles out into the field, while tears of happiness poured down her face.
It’s like she knew it was the beginning of a new life.
