Brides and grooms worry about a lot of things when planning their big day. Will the food be okay? Will people enjoy themselves? Will everything go as supposed to? Will the flowers be delivered in time? These and a million others are all questions that go through your mind if you’re a soon to be bride or groom.
But when the big day finally comes, you realize there’s just one thing that truly matters, and that is to have your family by your side and make them feel a part of the event as much as possible.
And one way to do this is by doing the traditional father-bride and mother-groom dance. It’s a tradition the groom in the video below wanted to keep, but it wouldn’t be as easy as it typically is.
That’s because the man’s mother suffers from muscular dystrophy, a condition that as you probably know causes progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass. Due to this condition, the woman had lost control her ability to move and is now confined to a wheelchair.
However, the man really wanted to have this special moment with his mom and create a memory none of them will ever forget. So he decided he wouldn’t let anything stop him from sharing a dance with her on his wedding day.
The cameras were rolling, so the incredibly touching moment was caught on video. Now, you may want to grab a box of Kleenex before you hit play, because there’s no way you can watch this without getting tears in your eyes.
