Louise was born with a rare disease called albinism. People who suffer from this syndrom don’t have color pigments in their eyes, skin or hair. Most of the times, they have inherited genes that simply don’t secrete melanin. This genetic disease affects 1 in 17,000 people, regardless of race, age or gender.
Albinism is not just about skin discoloration, as it can also affect sight. Louise was born with serious eye problems, but thanks to a miracle pair of glasses she can now see. The video below captures the touching moment when the baby sees her mother for the first time.
