If you’re anything like me, then the thought of dancing with your mom on a stage in front of other people is enough to make your palms sweat (sorry, mom). But in the case of the son and mom in the video below, it’s something that got them thousands of views on YouTube alone.
Pretty impressive, right? So what is their recipe for success? Well, in addition to both of them being excellent dancers, their choice of music for this clip was spot on. The mom and son danced to the top songs of the decades, so chances are you’ll find a couple of your favorites included in there as well.
After warming up the audience with a little “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars, Scott and Ginny took it back to the 90s by doing their one-of-a-kind versions of the famous Macarena dance. Their routine also included songs like “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones and “Cotton-Eye Joe” by Rednex.
As you can see, the music selection was pretty great, but what really turned this dance into a viral success is Scott and Ginny’s attitude on stage. They clearly enjoyed every second of their performance! Take a look:
