Khaliah Shaw, a 24-year-old college student, has been living a nightmare after she had an adverse reaction to a drug she took to control her seizures. The girl’s skin began peeling off following the horrific allergy reaction that left her screaming with pain. She spent five months into medically-induced coma and woke up to discover she had lost all of her hair and fingernails, and that around 90 per cent of her skin had peeled away. Although she is still haunted by memories during the time she was hospitalized, the young woman is now on her way to recovery.
