Officer Breaks Window for Baby in Hot Car, Moments Later Discovers He’s Made Terrible Mistake

Since 1998, 742 children have died due to pediatric vehicular heatstroke, with the number of deaths increasing in recent years. All of these deaths could have been prevented. The good news is that significant progress has been made in the last couple of years when it comes to raising awareness about this issue.
The majority of people now know what are the dangers of leaving a child in a hot car and how to act in case they see an infant exposed to this kind of risk.
So when the police officer in the video below got a call about a baby being trapped inside a hot car from a concerned citizen, he didn’t think twice about taking action as soon as he arrived on the scene.
The man immediately broke out the car window and grabbed the overheated baby from its car seat. But as he started performing the CPR maneuvers he was trained to do in these types of situations, he noticed the baby wasn’t displaying any signs of life.
And when he stopped to examine the baby in more detail, he realized he was actually administrating CPR to a very realistic-looking doll. Watch the video below to find out what happened next:
