As most moms out there are likely to tell you, help is always welcomed when it comes to raising a child. Well, if the video below is any indication of the truth, that can sometimes apply to moms in the animal kingdom as well.
In the video below, a mother elephant desperately trying to wake up her baby gets some much needed help from a human, and her grateful reaction is quite probably one of the best things you’ll see today.
Worried that something bad might have happened to her baby, the mother began showcasing signs of anxiety as she was hovering around her baby, touching it with her trump in an attempt to wake him up.
Seeing how anxious the mother elephant was behaving, one of the employees at the zoo decided to help her out and show her that the baby is only taking a nap and that there’s nothing bad going on with him.
According to the clip’s brief description on YouTube, the elephant baby had simply fallen asleep after it spent most of the day outdoors, running and frolicking around. All that excitement worn him out, and he ended up sleeping so soundly his mother couldn’t wake him up on her own.
