Man finds a 700-year-old cave, spends $230,000 to convert it into a dream home

How would you like living in a 700-year-old cave? Well, I know it doesn’t sound like too much of a tempting offer at first, but just wait until you see what this man did to transform an old cave into a dream home, and you might reconsider your initial reaction.
Tired of the many pressures that come with modern life, Angelo Mastropietro decided to quite literally run for the hills. He discovered a beautiful cave carved into 250-million-year old sandstone cliffs in the Wyre Forest, and decided to turn it into a one-of-a-kind home that gives him all the privacy in the world.
But it didn’t come cheap. The 38-year-old man who formerly had a successful career as the head of a recruitment company in Australia invested £160,000 to get the cave to look just the way he wanted and offer him all the comfort he needed.
His radical decision to give up everything he had and seek a simpler life came after the man was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2007, which left him temporarily paralyzed.
Although many questioned his decision to move into a cave, Angelo now says it was one of the best decisions he’s ever made and that he’s loving his new lifestyle.
