How To Make Turmeric Pain Relief Tea

What’s the first thing you do whenever you get a headache, a tooth ache, or any other kind of pain for that matter? Well, if you’re like most people, then your first impulse is probably to go straight for the medicine cabinet and relieve your pain with medications which are typically based on a substance called ibuprofen.
It’s a handy solution that most of us have become accustomed to when it comes to managing pain. The major problem with treating pain with medication is that our immune systems can actually develop a resistance to these types of drugs. In other words, there’s a high chance drugs will no longer be effective on our bodies.
There are also other drawbacks of taking drugs whenever we experience pain. Taking too many pills, too often, can lead to hypertension, gastrointestinal problems, increased risk of a heart attack and having kidney problems.
So what’s a viable alternative that is just as effective as treating pain and doesn’t have any of the unwanted side effects?
Well, as it turns out, there’s actually a simple solution you can make at home: turmeric tea. Curcumin, a major compound of turmeric, has been used since ancient times to treat pain thanks to its major benefits. Turmeric is best at treating aching joints and relieving muscle pain while relaxing your entire body.
To make turmeric tea, you’ll need just a few simple ingredients: 4 cups of water, 2 tablespoons grated fresh turmeric root (or 1 heaped teaspoon ground turmeric), and some fresh lemon and honey to give it a better taste. All you need to do is bring the water to a boil and then add the turmeric. Strain the tea and let it cool down a bit before you add the lemon and the honey.
