If you look at it from a distance, you might think this silent wind turbine is actually a tree! The turbine makes almost no noise! The engineers who designed it wanted to make sure the turbine would fit in nicely with the natural environment, so they decided a tree design would do the trick. Unlike ordinary wind turbines, this one is actually nice to look at and can be installed near buildings without having to require a building permit. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t mind seeing some of those wind turbines around town.
