Giant Shipping Boats CRUSH In Suez Canal

Controlling a giant shipping boat is not a simple feat for any captain. At the mouth of the relatively small Suez Canal in Egypt, the giant German ship MV Colombo Express and the huge Singaporean boat Maersk Tanjong collided.

This isn’t supposed to happen. The Hapag-Lloyd 8,749-teu MV Colombo Express and the 8,112-teu MV Maersk Tanjong collided at the northern end of Egypt’s Suez Canal, near Port Said. No casualties were reported.

The crash was slow and drawn out, but still very serious and dangerous. This clip has gone viral with over 3 million hits!
