When Aditya Raheja and Sanjana Madapp first found out there were going to become parents, they were, like most people are, super excited and happy. The thought of a baby entering the family filled their hearts with joy and they couldn’t wait to share the big news with the rest of their relatives.
However, some of their family members had an unexpected reaction. Although they were happy to learn there will be a new baby coming soon, they also started offering unsolicited advice.
You see, they knew the couple had several dogs in their care and they were concerned the dog would interfere with the safety of the baby. They were also worried Sanjana will use too much of her energy to look after the dogs.
In addition to the dogs they have at home, the woman also takes care of the animals at the rescue organization that she works for.
To her and her husband, the dogs are more than just pets; they are like members of their family, and they could never imagine life without them. So they told their families that no matter what they said, the dogs aren’t going anywhere.
“I couldn’t ever in good conscience give away an animal that loves me and trusts me with the same innocence and purity that my baby does. I couldn’t abandon a family member to bring in another. I will not betray a life that depends on me as much as my son does. To all those people I will always say, NOT WITHOUT MY DOGS,” she wrote online.
Thankfully, the pregnancy progressed normally and Sanjana brought a beautiful, perfectly healthy baby boy into the world. And her dogs were right there to welcome the new baby the best they should.
The couple wanted to show their families that the dogs were actually of great help throughout the pregnancy, and the way they decided to do it is with a one-of-a-kind photoshoot.
