Bizarre home remedies our grandparents used that actually work!

If you’re lucky to still have living grandparents, then you probably know they have all kinds of seemingly strange home remedies for pretty much every problem out there.

Nowadays, there’s a pill you can take for anything. Back in the days when our grandparents were young, however, there weren’t so many drugs available on the market, or people simply couldn’t afford them. So everybody had to get creative and find natural solutions to help them out.

Over the years, people have experiment with all kinds of home remedies. Below, are some of the strangest solutions that actually work! So leave you misconceptions aside, grab a pen and paper, and start taking notes.

  • Raisins can ease the symptoms of arthritis. All you have to do is soak the healthy treats overnight in a couple of spoons full of gin, and then you can nibble throughout the day.
  • Eat celery if you have bad breath. Instead of chewing two packs of gum each day and risk upsetting your stomach, eat some celery. Celery has tremendous health benefits, help you lose weight, and, as an added bonus, keep your breath fresh all day long.
  • Use lemons if you have an earache. Squeeze some lemon juice in your ears to stabilize pH levels and alleviate pain.
  • Eat olives if you have motion sickness. Pack some olives before getting up in the car and going on a longer trip to make sure you’ll actually be able to enjoy the experience. As strange as it sounds, this actually work.
