Giorgi Bereziani experienced a devastating blow when his treasured dog, Jorge, mysteriously vanished from his home one day, according to a report by ilovemydogsomuch.
For months, the 62-year-old, crestfallen owner tirelessly scoured the busy streets of Tbilisi, Georgia, hoping against hope to spot Jorge. He put out flyers and inquired about lost dogs, but all to no avail. There was no trace of Jorge anywhere.
However, three years after this unfortunate incident, a glimmer of hope emerged. Giorgi received a message from an opera house: a dog bearing a striking resemblance to Jorge had been seen frequently around their premises. The stray, sporting a yellow ear tag – a sign that it had been vaccinated and released by the city’s animal control – had been black and white, much like Jorge.
Fuelled by a surge of hope, Giorgi immediately rushed to the reported location. There, under a solitary tree, he found a forlorn dog. As he tentatively called out, “Jorge, is it you?” the dog’s despondent expression transformed into one of disbelief. It was indeed his long-lost Jorge!
