A US teenager spent the last 3 years thinking she was dead because of an extremely rare syndrome called “Walking Corpse”. The disease makes sufferers genuinely believe that they are dead, or that their body parts no longer exist.
Haley Smith, 17, started having syndromes after her parents separated. “One day, in English class, I had the strange feeling that I am dead and that I can’t move.” Haley started spending most of her time in graveyards wanting to be close to others who were also dead. She also watched many horror movies because seeing zombies made her feel relaxed. Haley was finally cured by a therapist.
